Griekenland gaat Nationale TV en Radiozenders sluiten om te kunnen bezuinigen. Dit gaat ten koste van duizenden banen.
Greece's conservative-led government said on Tuesday it was closing the country's state broadcaster ERT to save money.
The move, which is part of budget cuts in exchange for a fresh slice of bailout funds, will result in the possible loss of up to 2,600 jobs.
Simos Kedikoglou, the government spokesman and a former anchor at the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation, made the shock announcement that the 70 year old station would stop broadcasting.
