Swedish defence firm Saab is close to finalizing a cooperation with US aircraft maker Boeing with a view to selling JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets to the US Air Force, according to media reports.

Saab could be in line for the deal, worth several billion kronor, to supply the Gripen for training purposes, according to a report in the industry trade magazine Aviation Week on Wednesday.
